Privacy notice
Cirkl is a demand-capture product for South African appointment businesses. We process personal information so owners can run a Page and take bookings. This notice matches what the product actually does today.
Who we are
Cirkl (cirkl.co.za; first host inko.rabbitholedigital.co.za until DNS cutover) is the operator for platform accounts, subscriptions, and the booking software. The business whose Page you book with is the responsible party for how they use your details after the booking or enquiry reaches them.
What we process
- Owner account: name, email, business name, Page copy, and subscription status.
- Client booking: name, phone, email, chosen service/staff/time, optional marketing consent.
- Client enquiry: name, email, optional phone, message, optional photo URL, optional marketing consent.
- Payment: Our Paystack collects the owner Subscription. Client funds never flow through Cirkl.
Why
Necessary processing: confirm a booking or reply to an enquiry, email reminders, and run the owner account. Marketing is a separate optional consent, off by default, and is not required to book.
Retention and security
Booking and enquiry records stay with the tenant until the owner deletes them or asks us to. Access is gated by magic-link or password auth, RLS on Supabase, and server-only keys. We do not sell personal information.
Access, correction, deletion
Email nate@marulamusic.com with the subject “Cirkl POPIA request”. Nate will action the request or pass it to the owner if the record belongs to their business. v1 is email, not a self-serve portal.
